Character Creation
All characters on Eternal Noire start with a base starting XP equal to 15xp or Floor XP in your venue, whichever is higher. For general step-by-step character creation, please see Character Creation in the Player’s Guide.
All characters in hunter should start with 25xp at venue opening.
Universal
Merits
- 10 Merit Dots – Per EN house rules, you start with 10 dots of merits.
- All Characters in the Hunter Venue get the Language Merit for Modern Greek for free, all characters are assumed to be able to speak English for sake of ease on the site.
- Mortal Merits from any other Core book can be asked about, and potentially taken. (IE Relentless Assault, Freediving)
- Advanced Merits may not be taken at Creation, but may become available at a later date through player actions.
Hunter Creation Rules
Follow the Creation Rules as per the Book (Hunter: The Vigil, Second Edition), please make sure you check our Endowments Overhaul to ensure you are using the right version of the power.

- All Tier 3 Hunter’s start with their Endowment Stat at 2.

- Tier 3 Hunters cannot be a Quarter Template, however, they can take general Supernatural merits.
- Any of the Conspiracies within the two 2nd Edition books are available to play, though some do not have NPC representation, so the character may need more justification to be present.
- At this time, Enigmatics are available to play but need to be overhauled slightly to be ready to play within our setting, if someone wishes to play Enigmatic or another unlisted Conspiracy please send a Forum PM to the Hunter Team.
Tier 2 Hunter Creation Rules
Follow the Creation Rules as per the Book (Hunter: The Vigil, Second Edition), remember that as a Tier 2 you are part of a Compact, not a Conspiracy so you do not get Endowments.
All Tier 2 Hunters can also be a Quarter Template.
- Please use this Hunter Character Sheet to create your hunter.
- Minor Supernatural Templates (A.K.A. Quarter-Splats): We are allowing Minor Supernatural Templates from Hurt Locker at this time. Please note becoming a Tier 3 Hunter will mean losing that Quarter Template.
- The following are currently allowed:
- Atariya
- Lost Boys (Neverlanders)
- Dreamers
- Psychic Vampires
- Skinthieves
- The following are currently allowed:
Any of the Compacts within the two 2nd Edition books are available to play, with the exception of Keeper’s of the Source and Eden Covenant.
- Please note not all Compacts have NPC representation, and may need more justification to be present in Athens.
Keeper’s of the Source, Eden Covenant or another Compact pulled from older books to be updated for the current game can be made available if there is player interest, please send a Forum PM to the Hunter Team to discuss if one of these interest you.
Mortal Creation Rules
In general, we will be using the Rules-As-Written Character Creation rules in Chronicles of Darkness pg 24-26. A Quick Reference Guide is available on Chronicles of Darkness pg 27.- Please use this Hunter Character Sheet to create your mortal.
- A Tier 1 Hunter can be a Mortal who is yet to join, or a Mortal who is avoiding joining. Though to fully join the Greater Hellenic Vigil a Mortal must join one of the Compacts or Conspiracies. Any Mortal not part of the Greater Hellenic Vigil will be considered a Civilian ICly and will not be permitted on some of the hunts, so please join one of the /many/ Compacts or Conspiracies.
- Any Mortal who is not in the know must have strong NPC and PC ties to be considered for the game
- Mortal Types: At this time, we are allowing mortals with or without supernatural merits.
