VtR Custom Merits
Universal Merits
The following merits are available to anyone in the Vampire venue.
Well Endowed (•••)
Credit for this custom content merit goes to LifeWithinYourEyes.
Your character knows how to use their best assets for their advantage.
As long as your character is in motion or able to draw attention to their ‘assets’, and your Striking Looks tag would apply, you can make a contested social roll with another target. If you win, you may inflict the Distracted condition (VtR pg 302)
This condition can be resolved by leaving your presence or by taking any damage. Resolving this Condition applied by this merit does grant a Beat.

Kindred-Only Merits
Blood Socery
This section is Blood Sorcery related merits.
Ritual Mastery (•••••)
Prerequisites: Theban or Cruac •••+, Specialty in Theban or Cruac
Description: You understand the nature of Kindred magic in a way few ever do or take the care to learn. You are able to cast your spells in ways most can not. Not only that you can subtly make changes to the spells you cast to suit your needs better. Most importantly you have the ability to formalize new alterations as new spells for less adept sorcerers.
Effect: Spells that already exist will come with ‘Advanced’ casting options that you may take advantage of if you possess the Ritual Mastery merit. In addition, you may attempt to make new ‘Advanced’ casting options. Finally, you may formalize such changes to existing rituals as a new ritual that you can teach to those without the Ritual Mastery merit to cast.
Kitchen Witch (••)
Prerequisites: Cruac ••+
Description: Be it for agility or a lack of funds, you are versatile with your craft, being able to use items from your environment to help cast rituals – well-used wooden spoons, a herb collected under moonlight or more esoteric items.
Effect: You can use an item from your surroundings to reduce the vitae cost of casting a spell by a number of Vitae by one (but never less than one).
Witch’s Familiar (• to ••)
Prerequisites: Cruac •+, Ghoul Retainer •+
Description: Your “familiar” has been with you through everything. Whether it’s a former pet or a new friend, its devotion to you and your attachment to them is stronger and they keep you grounded in your attachment to your humanity even when using blood sorcery.
Effect: Your familiar counts as an additional touchstone for purposes of detachment rolls. Instead of a +3 die bonus for multiple touchstones (See VtR 2e 108), increase the bonus by dots in this merit, not to exceed 5.
Drawback: If your item is destroyed, it also counts as losing a touchstone following the same process to replace it. This merit is subject to Sanctity of Merits should the item be destroyed.
Unholy Relic (• to ••)
Prerequisites: Theban •+, Touchstone •+
Description: You are quite attached to an item you received in life, or from someone important to you, and have kept it with you so often while performing Theban that it has developed a mysterious connection to your blood sorcery.
Effect: This item counts as an additional touchstone for purposes of detachment rolls. Instead of a +3 die bonus for multiple touchstones (See VtR 2e 108), increase the bonus by dots in this merit, not to exceed 5.
Drawback: If your item is destroyed, it also counts as losing a touchstone following the same process to replace it. This merit is subject to Sanctity of Merits should the item be destroyed.
Ghoul-Only Merits
Specialty Ghouls
These merits are merits specific to specialty ghouls only.
Embed In Blood (•)
Prerequisites: Mnemonic Ghoul
Description: You can hold on to a memory or power inside your own blood for a time before being forced to extract it, helping conceal it and extend its lifespan.
Effect: You may hold onto the extracted memory or power for up to one week per dot of Stamina instead of one night per dot. In addition, you may spend a point of Willpower at the end of this duration to refresh the duration.
Using this merit comes with a few caveats. The ghoul can only hold on to one such memory or power at a time and if they suffer a breaking point during this time they must roll Stamina + Composure. On a failed roll the memory or power is damaged or changed in some way. Mark one of the Ghouls Vitae to represent this stored memory or power. If the Vitae is spent or lost the Ghoul loses the store memory or power.
Borrow Knowledge (•••)
Prerequisites: Mnemonic Ghoul
Description:A Kindred may donate some of their knowledge and skills to the ghoul. Through a more drawn out process taking an hour or so the vampire recalls and mentally practises a skill of their choosing.
Effect: The vampire rolls Intelligence + Composure with a penalty of the Mnemonic ghouls current dots in the chosen skill. If the vampire is successful the Mnemonic Ghoul gains one dot in the chosen skill so long as the new rating does no bring them above the vampire’s own. Kindred can choose to impart a skill specialty instead so long as the ghoul has one dot in the skill and requires a simple success.
The Mnemonic ghoul can only benefit from one instance of this merit at a time.
Mortal-Only Merits
The following merits are for Mortals only.
Gangrel’s Little Friend (•• or •••)

Pre-requisites: Doppelganger, Biomimicry • and, Blood Bond to a Gangrel
The effects that vitae can have on ghouls are pretty extreme, but on blood dolls? Typically there aren’t a lot of effects, but when you mix that powerful nature of vitae with a budding psychic? Some extraordinary things can occur.
This power is an example of that, allowing the Gangrel’s favored blood doll to change shape much like a Gangrel can with Protean, drawing upon the Psychics capabilities to change their own shape.
Though the Blood Doll can’t take the form of a mighty bear or a fierce wolf, they can take smaller, faster forms, meant for scouting and helping keep watch.
You can spend an Instant action and one willpower to take on the shape of a predatory or nocturnal animal with the •• version of the merit or any animal with the ••• of merit. The animal form must be of Size 1 to Size 5. While in this shape you take on the animals natural Physical Attributes and traits but keep your own Mental and Physical Attributes as well as skills.
Should the Blood Doll be knocked unconscious or receive fatal damage while in the animal form is instead shunted back into human form, and left Stunned.
